“Immediately he (Saul, later called Paul), preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name m(Jesus) in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”
But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this [Jesus] is the Christ.”~Acts 9:20-22
Don’t ever dare to think that your past renders you ineligible to know and be used by God. Saul (Paul), was on his way to round up Christians to persecute, but instead met their master and ended up becoming one of the greatest servants of Christ in the New Testament. God visits us at the most unexpected times and bids us to follow Him.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”~Revelation 3:20
Don’t ignore His knock. If you have questions, please, ask me. :)
It ain’t always a pretty ride, but if you’re standing in the end, you’re gonna be ok.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” ~2Timothy 4:7
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” ~Mathew 5:43,44
And…
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” ~John 13:34,35
Yesterday I learned that Love is not just meeting people’s needs. Love is meeting people’s needs even when you don’t feel like it. I would guess that Jesus didn’t much “feel” like suffering on the cross in our place, but He did it anyway because of Love. Sometimes, loving people can be as easy as letting someone else go first. Love can be leaving the front parking space for someone who really needs it. Love is finally forgiving that certain person. You can smile. Listen. Care. Help. Pray.
Make it your mission to find a need you can meet today. Love someone you normally wouldn’t think twice about. Let the love of Christ flow through you, and have a blessed day :)
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”~Mathew 6:26
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”~Mathew 6:33
